Tales Journal

Tales was a quarterly creative magazine, turned online blog – a story book for adults, if you will – originally founded in 2015. We are all about the joy of narrative, drawing readers who are curious daydreamers with wild imaginations. Tales brings readers on a magical journey, immersing readers in timeless stories, beautiful imagery, and design-led composition. The pages of our magazine offer moments of nostalgia and escapism from our busy, chaotic world.

After launching the magazine as a co-founder in 2015, Kat moved the magazine to London and went on to lead Tales into 4 more issues with a new team.

As a director, she started each issue by reaching out to universities, brands and theme-focussed creatives and launched a Kickstarter. As an editor, she selected content, and lastly as a graphic designer, she created the magazine layouts and published it online through Issuu. Occasionally she also illustrated and photographed content to complement written pieces. More recently the magazine has been redesigned as Tales Journal and is now an online blog.
