Digital Revolution explores and celebrates the transformation of the arts through digital technology since the 1970s. For the first time, the exhibition brings together a range of artists, filmmakers, architects, designers, musicians and game developers, all of whom are using digital media to push the boundaries of their field.

Barbican2014

One of my favourite exhibitions to date! The Digital Revolution (2014) took me on a walk through the evolution of technology. Focussing on gaming culture, cinematic and special effects, robotics and sensory technology.

An incredibly immersive experience. Beautifully curated to spark interest around every corner.

Kathrina Wainstok 2014

Some of my favourite parts of the exhibit included a new game that uses your eyesight as a cursor, and projection that gives you wings, and an insight into the creation of Inception (2010).

A truly interactive experience makes for an extremely memorable exhibition and the Digital Revolution did not disappoint! My only regret was that I only visited it once. If something like this crops up again (and I’m sure it will at the rate technology is expanding) I cannot recommend it enough, go go go!
